Let’s start this story with a name game. Why Mohalla? Our wish was to come up with a name that speaks to our clientele and different cultures and would roll off the tongue for our guests. Then, we discovered that Mohalla – or variations of the word (Ma- halla, Mehalle) – carried the same meaning in many different languages (Hindi, Urdu, Arabic, Persian, Turkish Uzbekistani):“my neighborhood” or “my community”. #all our plates are for sharing.
